17th LDPE Plant Improvement Conference

ECI was once again proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the Uhde High Pressure Technologies 17th LDPE Plant Improvement Conference. Held in Riga, Latvia between the 17th and 18th June, including a Burckhardt Compression LDPE Technology Day on 19th June, the conference brought together 200 LDPE plant operators, key equipment suppliers, and service providers, enabling an open exchange of ideas and challenges as well as updates on technical advancements in the field of operating, maintaining and continuous improvement of high-pressure LDPE and EVA plants. Presentations focussed on key topics ranging from energy-saving and emission reduction strategies, safety-related decomposition and relief processes, and developments in state-of-the-art equipment best practices.

LDPE and low/mid % EVA are increasingly becoming low-margin commodity products, meaning product flexibility to ensure plants can produce versatile high-value, high-margin products for range of applications is essential to ensuring plant viability and investment. The conference was a huge success, offering unparalleled networking opportunities and interesting updates from key players in the industry. Social events including a beach volleyball tournament and a conference dinner in the Town Hall Square showed off the best of Riga, and we were treated to some spectacular views of the Baltic Sea.
