We’re searching for an experienced chief financial officer to join our team of high-performing professionals and keep our finances positioned for continued success. The CFO will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. This seasoned strategist will not only understand current accounting practices and trends but will also have experience raising capital and adapting to change, whether it’s through growth or downsizing. As a member of senior management, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills.
Objectives of this role
- Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs.
- Coordinate the development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
- Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities of the organization.
- Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
- Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action.
- Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract compliance and reporting.
- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
- Perform risk management through the analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage the capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
- Oversee HR operations by coordinating with external service providers (ex: payroll, benefits, recruitment) and internal staff responsible for other aspects of HR.
- Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, the management team, and the rest of the company.
- Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities (ex: the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Internal Revenue Service, and state attorneys general).
- Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
- Excellent leadership skills, steadfast resolve, and personal integrity
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
- Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit
- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance
- International finance experience
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations
- Executive experience with SaaS business models and their associated revenue recognition
- Professional certification (ex: Certified Public Accountant)

YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:
- This position reports directly to the Process Engineering Section Leader
- The purpose of the role is to manage the engineering work processes, tools, and the quality of the engineering deliverables and to execute the assigned engineering work ensuring that it is executed in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Lead teams on larger jobs and manage smaller projects, feasibility studies as required. When required act as Project manager or Lead engineer on specified projects / proposals in accordance with Company Management System.
- Prepare engineering deliverables in accordance with Company Management System, current legislation, project requirements and international standards. Check deliverables produced by others.
- Apply in-depth knowledge to resolve complex or unusual engineering and design problems.
- Provide technical information in support of the project team.
- Attend technical design/project reviews to ensure compliance with customer’s needs and QHSE requirements.
- Participate in the development of project engineering budgets and schedules.
- Identify lessons learned from the project and communicate to others.
- Manage the scope of engineering work to eliminate cost / time growth.
- Identify any project scope growth and correctly document it and apply the project procedures for cost and time reimbursement.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest standards, legislation, products and practices relating to the relevant engineering discipline to reinforce professional competency.
- Identify and present training and learning opportunities (both individual and departmental) for consideration.
- Work with other Principal Process Engineers and Global Lead to ensure the organization retains and develops the key skills and knowledge for continued success.
- Provide mentorship to younger/junior engineers within the organization.
- Provide input into the selection and recruitment of new staff to meet the business needs. Coordinate, influence and lead the activities of the discipline engineering team.

- Bachelor’s Degree Chemical Engineering is required.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and Louisiana
- 10-15+ years of experience in various process engineering, operations or other technical roles with a minimum of 10 years in a multidisciplinary petrochemical design environment.
- Up-to date knowledge of key process design and engineering techniques and their applications.
- Up-to date knowledge of relevant international standards for petrochemical process plants.
- Excellent command of, and experience with, industry standard process simulation tools (e.g. Aspen EDR/Plus/HYSYS etc.).
- Creative problem definition and problem-solving skills.
- Site experience (e.g. operations, commissioning, process optimization, debottlenecking etc.).
- Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to lead large teams of multi-skilled engineers.
- Comfortable with occasional opportunities for international travel.
- Membership of a relevant Institute (e.g. AIChemE, IChemE etc.).

- 15+ years of experience in various process engineering, operations or other technical roles with at least 10 years of experience in a multidisciplinary petrochemical design environment.

- 5-10 years of experience with LLDPE and HDPE technologies/licenses preferred
- High pressure (>300 barg) experience.

- Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering and PE License in Texas and Louisiana required.
- 10+ years of experience in various piping engineering roles (At least 5 years working as a dedicated pipe stress engineer) in the design of oil & gas, petrochemical or plastics (e.g. LDPE) plants.
- Broad expertise in process plant, piping design, fabrication and erection, safety and environmental issues with some site experience.
- Detailed knowledge of & experience with industry standard Stress Analysis Software (Caesar II).
- An in depth understanding of the ASME piping design codes (ASME B31.3, B31.1, BPVC, etc.), ASTM, API, BS, EN, ISO, DIN material and manufacturing specifications and standards. ASME B31.3 Chapter IX High Pressure Piping experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Experience in Stressing Jacketed Piping Systems, Vibrating / Pulsating Pipework (Connected to Reciprocating Machinery), Highly Loaded Pressure Relief Pipework & Supporting thereof.
- Experience with Wind Loading / Seismic Calculations, etc.
- Knowledge of Fatigue Analysis
- Hand Calculations from First Principles to Resolve Technical Issues
- High pressure (>300 barg) Piping & Tubing experience.
- Experience in Pipe Support Design & Calculations preferred.
- Must be capable as working as part of a close-knit small core team as well as being self-reliant with the confidence to make decisions acting on their own initiative.
- General understanding of the entire cradle to grave workflow for an EPC Project, interdepartmental dependencies, recognition of the importance of TIC rather than individual constituents that make up the whole.
- Organized with the ability to support multiple concurrent projects.
- Accountable, confident, bright, articulate, innovative, highly motivated, and self-starter with a high energy level that performs with the highest integrity.
- Knowledge and understanding of industry codes, product safety standards, regulations, etc.
- Comfortable with occasional opportunities for international travel.
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
